The setting for the 11-year-old Hickville Crusaders on Oct. 15 was at James Shuart Stadium on the campus of Hofstra University. Their opponent was the Uniondale Knights, a team that hasn’t lost a game in four-plus years.  Nick and his wonderful family were key figures in the early years of Hicksville Crusaders.
Nick was already established at another neighboring youth program; but chose to join our league, because he wanted to play for his hometown.
His Dad Joe brought his expertise and spirit to the coaching staff.
Mom, Gina became our founding Director of Cheerleading, and last ; but certainly not least ...
Older sister Dana volunteered to be the Head Coach for Hicksville Cheerleading. 
Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!!
Later after Nick aged out of the program and went off to St. Anthony's to make his mark:
He returned to work on kicking with the Football player whenever he could.
